About Me
I’m Johannes Becht, a German journalist and digital marketing manager based in Berlin. My work connects editorial judgment with SEO, content strategy and AI-aware information systems — so useful ideas can be found, understood and trusted.
Berlin, Germany
The connection is information.
Journalism taught me to research, verify and explain. Digital marketing taught me how information travels, performs and earns attention. AI adds a new layer: content must now be legible not only to people and search engines, but also to systems that interpret, summarize and recommend it.
Journalism & editorial judgment
More than a decade of reporting, interviewing and multimedia work in German and American newsrooms shaped how I evaluate sources, find the relevant angle and make complex subjects understandable.
Explore published work →Search & digital visibility
I connect content, technical foundations, entity clarity and user intent. The goal is not visibility for its own sake, but making credible information easier to discover and trust.
Explore SEO expertise →AI-aware content systems
I explore how content structures, authorship, source quality and human review affect visibility in answer engines and AI-assisted discovery — without treating automation as a substitute for responsibility.
Explore AI expertise →A newsroom origin. A systems mindset.
The fields changed, but the central question stayed the same: what makes information relevant, credible and visible?
Learning the craft in German newsrooms
I began working in journalism as a teenager, contributing to the Pforzheimer Zeitung and completing a sports desk internship at Der Tagesspiegel. Local reporting taught me to work quickly, interview carefully and understand that trust is earned in details.
Journalism and film production in Oklahoma
At Southwestern Oklahoma State University, I studied Strategic Communication with a Film Production minor. As News Editor, reporter and video producer for The Southwestern, I worked across public safety, campus affairs, politics, sports and documentary formats.
Professional multimedia reporting in Lawton
At The Lawton Constitution, my work expanded into daily local journalism, photography and video. Reporting around Fort Sill, courts, schools, public institutions and community life strengthened my ability to translate complex subjects into clear public information.
From publishing stories to engineering visibility
Today I work as a Digital Marketing Manager at WEVENTURE Performance GmbH in Berlin. My role connects content strategy, copywriting, SEO, technical optimization, accessibility and AI-supported workflows across websites built with WordPress, Webflow and Contentful.

Content that functions as a system.
I am interested in what happens before and after publication: how a topic is researched, how information is structured, how websites make relationships clear and how people, search engines and AI systems decide what to trust.

Four constants across every field.
Tools and channels change. These principles carry from reporting into marketing, search and AI-supported work.
Research before reach
Visibility cannot rescue weak information. Claims, sources and context come first.
Clarity over noise
Complexity should be structured and explained, not hidden behind inflated language.
Human responsibility
AI can accelerate work, but judgment, verification and final accountability remain human.
Evidence over claims
Projects, bylines, relationships and results should be described with honest attribution.
