Filmography

Selected film credits, acting roles, directing work and independent production projects.

My filmography includes independent short films, acting credits, production roles and on-screen appearances in feature films. My work spans directing, writing, editing, producing, acting, camera work, sound support and crew responsibilities across projects created in Oklahoma and beyond.

Johannes Becht on set of Resurrection Road

My work in film developed during my time in the United States, especially while studying Strategic Communication with a Film Production minor at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. What started as hands-on student and independent production work gradually expanded into directing, writing, editing, acting and crew roles.

Some of these projects were small, experimental or student-driven. Others involved larger professional production environments. I treat all of them as part of the same learning process: understanding how stories move from script to set, from performance to edit, and from private production work to public-facing film credits.

The projects listed here are organized by relevance rather than only by date. The goal is not just to list titles, but to show how each project contributed to my broader work in film, visual storytelling and media production.

Year: 2024
Format: Short film
Genre: Action, drama
Primary contribution: Director, writer, producer, editor, actor
Role on screen: Hartman

Pallaton is a completed English-language action drama short film set in rural Oklahoma. The story follows a former combat soldier whose quiet retirement is shattered when his wife is brutally murdered, forcing him to confront his past, unresolved guilt and the violent consequences of war.

This project represents my most complete independent film production credit. I directed, wrote, produced and edited the film while also appearing in it as Hartman. The film brought together several collaborators from the Oklahoma independent film environment, including Zachary Hokeah, Kinley McGowen, Dennis Knifechief and Jordan Cruz.

For me, Pallaton became the culmination of my hands-on film work in Oklahoma. It connected acting, writing, directing, editing and production into one project and became one of the clearest examples of how my visual storytelling work developed before I returned to Germany.

Year: 2023
Format: Short film
Genre: Psychological horror drama
Primary contribution: Actor, second assistant director, boom operator, camera operator
Role on screen: Franz Koch

Consume is a short psychological horror drama directed, written and edited by Zachary Hokeah. The story follows a Native American hunter who is hired to investigate brutal animal slayings and the disappearance of hunters on reservation lands.

I contributed to Consume both in front of and behind the camera. As an actor, I played Franz Koch. Behind the scenes, I also worked as second assistant director, boom operator and camera operator. The project was especially important because it was not just a short appearance or isolated credit. It was a long-running production process filmed on and off between April 2022 and April 2023.

The film was later connected to a public screening and Q&A at SWOSU, with local media promotion around the project. For my own filmography, Consume is one of the strongest examples of a mixed acting-and-crew credit.

Year: 2025
Format: Feature film
Genre: Action, drama, horror, western
Director: Ashley Cahill
Primary contribution: Actor
Role on screen: Confederate Soldier

Resurrection Road is a feature film directed by Ashley Cahill. The story follows an elite squad of six Black soldiers led by ex-slave Barabbas, sent on a suicide mission to infiltrate a Confederate fort deep in the Arkansas woods.

I appeared in the film as a Confederate Soldier.

This project was different from my independent short film work because it placed me within a larger feature production environment. It became one of my professional feature film credits and connects my filmography to a broader production context involving Rebellium Films and One Dollar Studios.

Bloodstained ivory

Year: 2025
Format: Feature film
Genre: Drama, thriller
Director: Klein Haley
Primary contribution: Actor / on-screen appearance
Role on screen: Showcase Attendee

Bloodstained Ivory is a psychological thriller connected to themes of obsession, ambition and the destructive pursuit of perfection.

My role in Bloodstained Ivory was smaller than my work on Pallaton or Consume, but it remains an important feature film credit. It shows another side of my filmography: participation in a larger production as part of the on-screen cast rather than as the main creative lead or crew contributor.

Together with Resurrection Road, it helps connect my independent film background with professional feature film environments in Oklahoma.
