About

This collection brings together interviews created across journalism, editorial projects and multimedia reporting. The subjects and formats vary, but the purpose remains the same: to provide people with the space to explain their work, decisions and experiences in their own words.

Some interviews form part of broader investigations or news reports, while others focus on an individual achievement, professional perspective or personal story. Depending on the assignment, my role has included background research, question development, conducting the interview, filming, photography, writing and editing.

I approach interviews as more than a sequence of questions and answers. A strong interview requires preparation, attention to what is being said and the ability to recognize when an unexpected response opens a more meaningful direction for the conversation.
