Journalists on Fire: A Different Perspective

Journalists on Fire: A Different Perspective is a short essay I published in 2023 through Amazon Kindle. The text reflects on the role of journalism in modern societies and on the tensions that shape media work in the digital age. Drawing on my own experiences working in journalism and media in both the United States and Germany, the essay explores how technological change, economic pressures, and shifting public expectations influence the way news is produced and understood today.

Having worked across different areas of media — from journalism and multimedia storytelling to digital marketing and content strategy — I have witnessed how rapidly the information landscape has evolved over the past decade. This essay was written as a reflection on that transformation: how journalism operates within increasingly complex media ecosystems, and how the responsibilities of those who produce information continue to change.

Rather than presenting a purely academic analysis, the text offers a personal perspective on the realities journalists face today — including the difficult decisions that arise when editorial ideals meet economic and technological constraints.
